Petr Červinka

Petr Červinka (54) graduated as railway transport and economics engineer at the University for transport and communications in Žilina in 1988. He started his career in production domain as station dispatcher (1988 -1991) at ČSD.
Since 1991 he turned to railway IT. Since 1992 he is responsible for international freight data exchange applications at CD and since 1997 at ČD Cargo. He leaded development of many international interfaces, e.g. for freight train pre-advices, consignment data exchanges (bilateral and ORFEUS) and wagon trip reporting (ISR).
Petr is also responsible for CD’s HERMES network connection and since 2000 he is secretary of the Hermes Production Group (GPH) of Hit Rail. Petr was and is involved in many international railway ITC projects, mainly in freight applications, coding and reference files domain. In 2013-2017 he chaired the IT Study group of the UIC. He is involved in the TSI-TAF specifications and implementation, both at CDC and on European level.
Since 2017, Petr works as Chairman of the ISR Assembly at RailData (Special Group of the UIC, providing freight IT applications to railway undertakings).
