Michael Breuer is managing partner of RailWatch GmbH in Bonn. He is a proven logistics professional with many years of experience in the car transport business. He began his rail logistics career in 2004 in the team of ATG Autotransportlogistic GmbH, now DB-Cargo Logistics GmbH. In 2007, he moved to the private railway sector and took over the position of Director Administration & Technology at the newly founded BLG AutoRail GmbH. BLG AutoRail is a subsidiary of the BLG Logistics Group, the largest automobile handling company in Germany. In 2011, Breuer also took over the management of BLG Railtec GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of BLG Autorail GmbH. In this role, he was instrumental in the reactivation of the Falkenberg marshalling yard, the construction of a shunting facility and the construction and commissioning of the Uebigau-Wahrenbrück freight wagon workshop. In 2015, Breuer founded RailWatch GmbH, an IT company for rail freight transport. His vision: to take rail freight transport in Germany and Europe one step further towards digitalisation. Breuer has now been arranging for the International Rail Freight Business Association e.V (IBS) for 6 years. In 2016 he joined the board and dedicated himself to the department “Innovation/Digitalisation/PR”. In October 2021, he took over the position of Chairman of the Board of IBS.
