Mr. Michal Pavel, Ing. – earned his Dipl. Ing. degree at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering in 1984. Since then working in R&D of electronic systems (VLSI test systems, medical technologies, telecom wired and optical PDH, SDH, HDSL systems, control & command systems) for 38 years in various managerial positions. Last 19 years in railway signalling in AZD, focussing on control systems, telecom and computer networks and safety validation. Currently as a Chief Researcher manages and coordinates all company activities and partnerships in international research projects. Managing company participation in Shift2Rail and consequently in Europe’s Rail JU as AZD is a member of both. Member of Europe’s Rail JU Governing Board.
